![]() ![]() As Tri Pointe Homes, the company continues to support and celebrate the longevity of team members and their local-market expertise and relationships, while leading the industry with company-wide programs such as LivingSmart®, a commitment to healthy and environmentally responsible business practices and Tri Pointe Solutions®, a suite of services that streamline the buying process, start to finish. In 2021, this innovative, design-forward company became Tri Pointe Homes, a unified brand that brings the best of big and small to all its homebuyers, with operations in 10 states and the District of Columbia. Just six years later, TRI Pointe Group and its six regional homebuilding brands, composed of TRI Pointe Homes in California, Colorado and the Carolinas Maracay® in Arizona Pardee Homes® in California and Nevada Quadrant Homes® in Washington Trendmaker® Homes in Texas and Winchester® Homes 1 in Maryland and Northern Virginia had delighted more than 28,000 homeowners, establishing 330 beautiful neighborhoods and 15 incredible masterplan communities, and winning over 270 separate awards, while supporting more than 150 community causes. This merger created one of the top 10 largest public homebuilding companies in the United States based on revenue. Within 5 years, the company merged with Weyerhaeuser Real Estate Company (WRECO), which operated five distinct homebuilding companies in seven states, and became TRI Pointe Group®. It was the first IPO in homebuilding to emerge after the downturn. TRI Pointe Homes quickly became a publicly held company, trading under “TPH” on the NYSE. They drew upon their 25+ years of homebuilding know-how to create TRI Pointe Homes®. However, they recognized this time as an opportunity to bring their vision to life. That year, the economic downturn crippled many industries. In 2009, Doug Bauer, Tom Mitchell and Mike Grubbs shared a vision and concept for a new kind of homebuilding company-one driven by home design that provides homebuyers and their families with a lifetime of experiences.
